Pastor Pierre Bennett: Going Deeper with God in Prayer

Pastor Pierre Bennett was first introduced to religion as a young child, while watching his mother perform in the church choir. After being called to the ministry in 1999, Pastor Pierre Bennett founded God’s Luv International Ministry Church, where he continues to serve God today.

Pastor Pierre Bennett tells his congregation at God’s Luv International Ministries Church that they cannot hide from God. He knows what is inside your heart, no matter what you show on the outside. God knows your true motives, Pastor Pierre Bennett says, and He knows when you are not wholehearted about something. What Pastor Pierre Bennett respects most about his Creator, however, is how He shows no favoritism. What God is after, Pastor Pierre Bennett explains, is what is in your heart.

Even if you’ve had a rough past, God still loves you, Pastor Pierre Bennett teaches. Not only does He love those who have fallen – as much as He does those who haven’t, God seems to have a special place in His heart for bad boys, according to Pastor Pierre Bennett. Why? As Pastor Pierre Bennett puts it, bad boys have passion in everything they do. Once they find God, they tend to put that same passion into following Him. But most importantly, these “bad boys” are pure of heart. There is nothing phony about them, allowing God to shoot through them like a rocket once they find His Spirit.

Pastor Pierre Bennett knows what it’s like to suddenly realize his life isn’t going in the direction in which you’d like. Several years ago, Pastor Pierre Bennett looked in the mirror and realized he was no longer competitive with himself. He says that the type of person who likes to win, likes to win all the time.

In a recent Sunday sermon, Pastor Pierre Bennett described the several dimensions of a relationship with God. Some people choose a more formal relationship with God, Pastor Pierre Bennett related, only calling upon him in times of struggle. Now, God will allow a formal relationship like that for as long as you’ll let it go on, but a more intimate relationship with God is far more personally rewarding, he added.

Talking with God doesn’t always mean formal prayer. As an example, Pastor Pierre Bennett has regular chats with God as he goes through his day – even in the shower and early in the morning during his quiet time of reflection.

God will be there for you, Pastor Pierre Bennett exclaims, no matter what you are going through in life! But, he adds, part of your conversation with God should include listening to His message for you.
